Day of the Dead Bedframe

This is a bed frame i'm making: "Day of the Dead" theme.

Not sure if i wanna incorporate copper accents, perhaps use the copper skull in the one picture, or do all steel, OR do some stainless stuff.

Memorial sculpture

Work is progressing extremely slowly on the memorial sculpture. After designing the wings I was determined to have them cut by a local welding shop on their CNC plasma cutter. Gave them a JPEG of what I wanted and they were having a terrible time converting it to an .dxf file.

This found object sculpture was inspired by a mountaineer's ice axe, the "head" is a sickle bar mower guard that is "lashed" to the bar with some cable. I welded the cable to the bar and then texturized the hex shaft with what looks somewhat like metal candle wax.

LARGE EAGLE SCULPTURE, 9'2" WINGSPAN, 1/8" mild steel, LOTS OF BEADS

I'M NEW HERE AND I'M JUST STARTING TO FIGURE IT OUT. THIS IS MY SECOND EFFORT. 9'2" WINGSPAN. WHEN IT WARMS UP A LITTLE MORE HERE IN CENTRAL NY. I PLAN TO GET SOME PAINT ON IT. I JUST FINISHED THE TALONS, AND HAVE YET TO TEXTURE THE FACE.
