11" X 8" X 8" Made of 26 Gauge Steel Wire. Hundreds of multi color glass fringe beads are woven into the branches and twigs. Bonded in sea sand with assorted stones and pebbles.

Winter Bird Nest - Wire Tree Sculpture

Created using 22, 24 & 26 gauge galvanized steel wire. This piece expresses a promise of spring. The tree is bare with no leaves and a very intricate network of roots. All the color and life is shown in the gold color nest, with the 2 white pearl eggs. The tree sits on a mound made of sea sand many assorted pebbles and rocks. The sea sand and pebbles are painted in yellows, greens and whites, using India ink, which will not fade in sunlight, and gives the appearance of moss covered earth. The piece is planted on an 8 inch round solid wood base, with hand cut openings on the sides. The wood base was made in Japan.

20"H x 16"W x 14"D Created using 24 & 26 gauge galvanized steel wire. The tree sits on a mound made of sea sand many assorted pebbles and rocks. The sea sand and pebbles are painted in yellows and greens using India ink, which will not fade and gives the appearance of moss covered earth. The base is 10" round solid glass.

the last straw

hi, the idea behind this was to protect the last straw, if i kept it safe, everything would be fine. the piece of straw is in a glass tube, which has been capped with silver domes.

7"H x 5"W x 6"D Created using 24 and 26 gauge solid copper wire. The trunk and the root system are cotaed and will retain a glossy appearance. The branches and the twigs are untreated copper and will darken and petina with age.

Oriental Bonsai, wire tree sculpture

Wire tree sculpture with hammered leaves. 17" wide x 28" high. Created using 18, 24 and 26 gauge steel galvanized wire. The hundreds of leaves are created by hammering flat every end of every wire, the flattened leaves are then hand painted in several shades of green using enamel paint. The fully exposed root system is set into a beautifully hand painted floral design 7" round ceramic pot. The tree sculpture is permanently bonded into its base using a mixture of mortar, white glue, sea sand, pebbles and small rocks. The sand is painted in shades of green and yellow, using India ink, giving the appearance of a moss setting. This sculpture can be displayed in direct sunlight. All the coloring agents used are light fast, and will not fade.
