Created using 18, 24 and 26 gauge steel galvanized wire. The hundreds of leaves are created by hammering flat every end of every wire, the flattened leaves are then hand painted in several shades of green using enamel paint. The fully exposed root system is set into a beautifully hand painted floral design 7" round ceramic pot. The tree sculpture is permanently bonded into its base using a mixture of mortar, white glue, sea sand, pebbles and small rocks. The sand is painted in shades of green and yellow, using India ink, giving the appearance of a moss setting. This sculpture can be displayed in direct sunlight. All the coloring agents used are light fast, and will not fade. Coral Wind Swept, wire tree sculpture
