Questions about making/melting/casting various alloys

Howdy folks. Cool site. I'm new here, seeking some answers that have eluded me on the internet.... I make jewelry (gold/silver/copper) and machine parts (aluminum/tin) - basically anything that involves melted metal makes me happy. I just love projects of any sort. Questions related to a tree sculpture

I am going to create a large scale sculpture of a stylized tree (about 5-7 meters high) but have no experience of working with metal. The tree will be placed outdoors. Do you have some suggestions as to what the most ecologically friendly and robust material for this might be (aluminium, steel?), and then from there, how I should connect them together?

Indian/wolf aluminum masks

Good day,
Here is another mask, this is one of my favs. Indian with a wolf.
Start to finish about 2 hours, came out of sand clean, no flashing, a couple minutes filing and a quick buff. Cut a few holes stuck in some marbles and done.
