&lt;p&gt;There have been a couple of blog posts re: cold connections. I began my &amp;#39;metal&amp;#39; art by working in wire, from there I moved to incorporating some sheet but working all cold. (then I moved to a torch for headpins and reticulating and from there it was an easy jump to soldering...lol) &lt;/p&gt;
