this is my entrance piece for the exhipition I talkt earlier about. the hole piece has been forged, raised and chased out of a single billet of mokume. metals are silver copper and brass
piece is 28 cm in diameter and about 17 cm high. general shape whas inspiren on a drop of water falling and bounching back

David raises vessels and often will chase and model his designs onto the surface. He is free with his information and has recently completed a vessel for me commissioned by my wife for our 30th wedding anniversary.

Below is a pic of a couple of copper pipe vases I'm working on for Christmas presents. One started with 8" section of copper pipe and the other started as 10" section of pipe and ended up being 7" tall and the other 9" tall. Started with 2" type L copper pipe.

Hello all,

Just wanted to post a couple pix of the pipe vase I have in progress. Just wanted to show the progress. Below is what it looks like so far. Also below is a pic of the stake used to create the pipe vase.

Stake used to make pipe vase. The stake started as a 2 1/2" round steel. Cut to 18 inches and tapered down to the 1" on the end.

Pipe vase in progress. Started with an 8" piece of 2" ID Type L copper pipe. Neck it down and then tapered both ways from where necked down. Not through yet, still have to make a couple more rounds getting the tapers smooth....then soldering on a bottom and a patina.
