Hello fellow metal artists.

This is my first post on ArtMetal so I've sent an image along to establish some legitimacy as a silversmith. (Though not, admittedly, as a photographer, heh.)

I'm a student in Fredericton, New Brunswick who's been away from the bench for a few years and is just returning with the intent of making metalworking my career. I'd like to hear from people who make a living with their craft so we can start a dialog.

Jewellery (also spelled jewelry, see spelling differences) is a personal ornament, such as a necklace, ring, or bracelet, made from jewels, precious metals or other substance.

The word jewellery is derived from the word jewel, which was anglicised from the Old French "jouel" in around the 13th century.[citation needed] Further tracing leads back to the Latin word "jocale", meaning plaything. Jewellery is one of the oldest forms of body adornment; recently found 100,000 year-old Nassarius shells that were made into beads are thought to be the oldest known jewellery.[1]
