For the birds

We moved to a new house in Dec. and Phil, my husband, has been missing our old bird feeders. I finally got the time to make him a new one. It is about 8' tall and has several cups and a plate for seed, and hooks for the humming bird feeders.

Finally finished

She took forever, but is finally finished! She's about 3 1/2 feet tall, so about 3/4 scale. I decided to clear coat her after following the threads and deciding mild steel is going to rust eventually.

I did this one right after I did "Diamond Head". Backing is ceramic tile, adorned with jute twine. I did several of these from a series of "Death Masks".

This was my first attempt at hammering steel and using my new mig welder and plasma cutter, done in '08. The background it is attached to is ceramic tile adorned with strands of jute twine.
This was originally from a series of "Death Masks", it is titled "Diamond Head".

Steeling My Iris II

This is the 2nd in a series of Iris I will be doing. I have about given up on small pieces as I really don't like doing them and they take too much time for the money. My heart is in nature and horses and that is where I need to focus my energy.
