forgenew propane forge: Hi everybody , I just bought my new forge and I thing that it's great , it came realy handy with the new project Iam working on . The forge is 3 burners artist/blacksmith model from diamonbback ironworks , 3 doors for odds shapes . Has anyone out there forged corten?

i've been trying to find out some info on this but can only find fabricated sculptures.

Currently i am doing some test pieces but it will be a while until i find out if the corten will hold its properties after its been forged.

It's here! My forge from NC TOOL CO. It's pretty much the most bad a** thing ever! I'm super stoked. And it's going to make this new year all the better. If you haven't seen or used a forge from NC TOOL, it's quality stuff. Highly recommended!

Hello everybody, I've been looking around here for a couple hours now and I'm pretty happy to find a site that brings so many talented metalsmiths together! I've just finished my service enlistment and have been forging my own knives and nick-nacks for about a year now. I would really like to work for a professional forge if there is work/help needed in the southern California area. Maybe you, or someone you know is in a situation to take on a hard worker and motivated learner? Thanks for reading, Happy New Year!

looking for home for forge/foundry

Hi -
I am moving to Greenbelt, MD and have a forge and foundry (home-made stuff) which I want to use but am moving into an apartment. I am wondering if anyone knows of a Co-op type place for me to share my stuff. Both are propane with Reil type burners. I also have a small wire feed welder and a oxy-acetylene torch set.

I have been way to quiet lately so here's what i've been doing.
I finaly got my own forge running! I installed it in the cultural workshop "r10". I'm doing my aprantis ship period for my metalsmithing education here. on the left you see our power hammer. the man in the picture is my curent master(he's good!).
