The Seed in place (sort of)

Here is a CAD photo of The Seed in place. The parking lot is outside the windows. They look to the south so lots of sun in the winter. The building it sits on is the admin. office.

I have to lift the piece up 10 ft. to place it up there. You will see it from outside and on the running track (where this photo was taken).

Here is the winner for my new commission. It will be 14 foot tall by 7'ish wide at the top. Made out of 16ga and maybe some 18ga for the upper portion just to keep the weight down.

I have to install in three sections on top of a ten foot tall building inside of another building. Only have a door that opens to 7ft tall by 5ft wide. So no crane in the building.

Bigger Bugs on this side of the ocean/ Spider, I will see your bug and raise you one!!!!

Here are some of my bugs. Great minds think alike. Hollow balls and the big one is 34 inchs tall. The head is 8 inchs in dia.

Just got this back today. Made out of 16ga. steel with 3/8 wall pipe. (that was all I had)

It has been to the "Hippie biker guy" that does auto body. 3 different yellows and a black plus 10 coats of clear.

Root Problem

I guess mother nature is just going wild. Been having root problems here also. Entry way work to cover the bald spot. It's off to the powdercoater now.

Been busy

This has been in my head for awhile. Out of 16ga. stainless. Was doing all the welding with the mig. Finally broke down and got a tig. Sure went smoother, lot less clean up.

Off to the studio, got two commissions to start today.

Isadora in the garden

Here is "Isadora" in her new home with the owner. I am 6'1" so you can see how big "Is" is.

Springs on her neck, arms and leg and a bearing at her toe so she can move in the wind.

The colors were picked by the owner and are just bright. No no wait... THEY ARE BRIGHT. This is the loudest work I have ever done. Kind of like it too. Might have to do some more.

RainHarp finally in place

Well I finally installed RainHarp. Here it is running. Only needs landscape to finish off the install.

Had to wait 2 weeks just for the powder to show up. (special color). The usual wait at the sandblast booth and the zinc tank for dipping. Then a 6 mil coating of powder and off to the oven.
