Greetings, Just found this site and figured it would be a good place to meet others with my interest.

There are lots of metal folks here, but none are doing repousse and chased jewelry. It's rather my niche here.

The seven individual leaves are 18GA C260 Brass from www.onlinemetals.com, the leaf stems are Lowes Brass picture hanging wire, and the branch is Lowes Copper common house hold ground wire. I have around 150 hrs in it with the soldering being the most tedious part.

I had a very nice conversation with Valentin Yotkov this week, trying to buy some chasing tools. He is a great guy, hope to save up enough $$$ to take one of his classes. So anyway, after I picked myself up off the floor after finding out how much his sets cost, I thought I would ask the group where they buy their tools.

pitch alternative

My first post here. a diverse group indeed. I've searched and read the conversations about pitch alternatives. I want to ask if anyone has used a substrate such as cork, layered paper, rubber sheets, wood/composite or soft plastic to chase large works (exceeding 6 sq ft - 24 gauge).

Cement Pitch Bowl

There are various suggestions for DIY pitch bowls out there, bowling ball, skillet, etc. I am interested in making a cement bowl, has anyone done this? Tips? Suggestions?

Hello, I'm new to this community and wanted to add some images and say hi! I made this piece by using repousse techniques to form the flower and grade rolling to make the other bits.
