Hello everyone, this is something ive been working on since last summer. I made it by mig welding 2 - 4mm stainless steel bars together, to create a see through structure that has the look of feathers. I just got it back from electropolishing, and it gleams beautifully, inside and out. Copper Willow - Wire Tree Sculpture
6" high x 4"wide x 4"deep. Made of 26 gauge solid copper wire. Each wire is twisted to form the branches. Mounted in a dark gray square ceramic pot in a bonded sand and pebble mound that is painted with India ink to look like moss.
Golden Elm Wire Tree Sculpture
20" X 17" X 17". Made of 20, 26 and 28 gauge gold colored wire. All the leaves on this tree are created by hammering and flattening each wire.
Bonded onto oval dark wood base into mound of aluminum resin.
