eagle | izigimigizi | manyways | metal sculpture | metal wall sculpture | skull with wings | winged skull izigimigizi is an integration of Migizi(Bald Eagle)and the human skull. Spirits can be one many ways. The medium is .032" sheet mild steel, hand cut and hand formed. Some folding was utilized forming feathers. In this sculpture, the skull is less stylized while the bird is more stylized,a matter of choice. There is hidden symbolism for you to find. With this effort, greatest growth was realized creating the Eagle head. I tried to give the bird a flow that could only be found with my hands working clay, izigimigizi 3-4

memento mori | metal sculpture | Mori | winged skull I was invited to sell my art at a motorcycle happening, so I made "Mori" for the occasion.I had another one made, but he recently found a new home.Winged skulls have been around for a long time and can represent change, the soul rising to heaven, the resurrection of Christ and yes... death, to name a few.Take your pick.As I created "Mori", I thought of several variations, more may follow. |
