I did this one right after I did "Diamond Head". Backing is ceramic tile, adorned with jute twine. I did several of these from a series of "Death Masks".

Ok, so here is the short story on this piece. My inlaws had this in their house for more than 45 years. We know it came from Cape Cod. We think it came from Wellfleet. It is clay and wood on a wood backing. 7 foot wide by 5 tall. Weights in at 158 lbs. No name, no paperwork, my mother inlaw knew the whole story about this piece. Sadly they are both gone now.
