My buddy Fume, the dragon

This is my favorite piece to date. His name is Fume (I figured theres a dragon named Puff and another named Smaug, why not Fume). I didn't use any framework of any kind. Just buit him up from TIG weld.

Roses

Here's acouple roses I made using TIG welding. No frame of any kind was used. Just weld. The petals were brushed with a brass brush while still hot to give them a kind of antique bronze look.

I started making these trees about a year ago. I was just messing around showing some one else how to weld. By the end of the day I had a couple of these trees on my workbench. No frame or anything was used.

Trouble with tig welding small Everdur bronze piece to larger bronze.

| | | |

Hi, I am an inexperienced tig welder trying to weld a small ear to a larger horse body- the body is about 12" high, and pretty thick- close to 1/4" thick walls.(cast). The ear is about 1/4 x 1/2". The ear just melts into a blob, and the stub on the main body just plops.

Working with nails?

| | | |

I have a great idea for a sculpture made out of nails. I am new to working with metals and welders, so I am unsure as to what would be the best type of welder for such a job. The project will take many small welds that will connect nails that range in size from 1 inch to 8 inch. Any help is greatly appreciated.
