My 3rd attempt at a silver ring

| |

OK boys and girls, in order to buy some tools to do the wedding bands, I had to agree to make a wide band ring for the best half of this 25+ year union. This is 7/16 of an inch wide. It only took 2 tries to get it right.

Penannular Broach

Jewelry | |

I have finally spent time in my studio. Dick gave me a "flying chair." I have finally recognized that I will not be running up and down the basement stairs as I used to do. Ok, Friday I must have been up and down at least seven times and I got things done. I have my studio back. I'm going to try to post a penannular broach that I started thursday evening and finished that friday. I've submitted it and some other things to the state fair. marilyn

This is a bandolier style body piece that is held together by a hidden linking system. There is a clasp and that is also hidden. This is one of my personal favorites to wear.

The Kraken (front view)

The Kraken (front view)

This piece is very difficult to photograph. It is quite impossible to present the 3D aspect of the whole piece in only one shot, so there it is, in three different pictures.

The Kraken as a pendant

The Kraken as a pendant

In this picture, you can see how it can be worn as a pendant. The leather cord gives it some character, consistent with the pirate aspect.

The Kraken

The legendary Kraken is a wearable sculpture, made of crocheted and knitted 14K gold filled wire. It is holding a pirate ship in its arms, sinking it. The ship has been crocheted with sterling silver wire, and the deck has been woven in the same material, then heavily oxydized.
