Molecular oxidation under clear powder coat on steel

I have found under a clear powder coat finish on steel a squiggly line of what looks like rust.
I brought it to the manufacturers attention and they are claiming they do not know what it is.
I run my finger over the area and donot feel the rust nor does it leave a rust residue on a piece of white paper.

Selling Pieces? How does a person go about pricing their "stuff"

Hi, I was wondering how artists go about "pricing" their work? I have a few people asking me to "name a price" and I do not have a reference, where do I start? Cheap? ask what I "work" for (35.00 per hour as a weekender mechanic) or?

Hi,this sculpture is called "Milk Factory" the base which is a mans torso and hands is made of various sizes of metal rods the breasts are hammered brass on a pullmax,with copper nipples there's a bronze building on top of breasts, the smokestacks are made of copper and the smoke is hammered copper and brass again on the Pullmax...
