Kiss

Did this one when I was first studying sculpture. I was training as a stone carver at the time and it would be some years before I really investigated metal work. Just goes to show you that sometimes a body work presents itself long before you are ready to see it.

finel fabrication

now I fabricated all the pieces and made hinges(hinges =moving parts, like a door.don't think i spelled that wright.) from scratch. this pic is made at the forge of my good friend and master willem jonkers III where I dit some overhoures to meet the deadlinge. after that I finished it with pumice stone(bit primetive but it works the best for an even surfice. try it) sandpaper and then policing.

Suggestions for making threads on a sterling bottle

| |

I'm looking at making a small sterling bottle and I want to put a screw cap on it like flask. Unfortunately, I have NO IDEA how to even begin to make the threads on the bottle, no less the cap.

Basically, I'm making an oil bottle and need to be able to screw the lid down to engage the gasket. I've run over a couple of ideas in my mind about how I might go about this, but none of them seem a good way to go.
