This is named "Croatian"only because my client took a rather high resolution video of a railing in Croatia while on a pilgrimage(his roots)and asked me to reproduce it for his 10,ooo sq.ft mansion here in Alexander Valley,the heart of Wine Country. I suspect the original design is actually French. I don't as a rule do other peoples designs ,but in this particular case I though it a really lovely scroll (as scrolls go) AND an interesting symbiotic style with the buildings architecture,which consistently reminded me of the Palace of Knossos on Crete,King Midas's remarkable architectural complex til fate and the Gods conspired against him.(Partially destroyed by earthquake somewhere around 1200 BC.)
