Firsts Steps in a New Life

| | | | | |

My first day on the ArtMetal network!

My name is Angela. I am a resident of Salt Lake City, Utah. And I have been an artist... pretty much from the moment I picked up a pencil.

But I wasn't interested in just any form of art. You see... I liked to create. When I sat down to draw... I didn't draw what existed around me already. That was boring! Why would I want to spend hours drawing a tree... when I could go outside and see trees all the time? Why spend time coloring rainbows and flowers and bunnies when I could flip on the TV and see those, or go tromp around my moms flower bed.

Just found this site

Greetings, Just found this site and figured it would be a good place to meet others with my interest.

There are lots of metal folks here, but none are doing repousse and chased jewelry. It's rather my niche here.

About to get started....

First a fond hello to everyone. My name is Scott Ellis and I will be commencing a second Bachelor's degree in January 2011. I'll be pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) with a concentration in Metals at the Appalachian Center for Craft in Smithville, TN. This is a satellite campus of Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. I'll be studying a little bit of everything: jewelry making, blacksmithing, polishing, some design, etc.

Well, finding my way here has taken some time, but I'm hoping to find a nice little corner to share my self and my work, and maybe grab a coffee or two.

I'm Kim: wife, mother, grandmother, nature enthusiast, metal worker and jewelry creator.
