electropolishing | mig welding | wire sculpture | womans head This is the piece that i showed you as a work in progress last time i posted. Shes made from 2mm stainless steel wire, mig welded together and electropolished. the eyes are parts of a stainless sphere. She took about 6 weeks to finish. Her face is modelled from photos and anatomy books, the pose suggested itself from the expression on her face and the hair i made up. The plinth is a block of elm. full view

eagle sculpture | flying | mig welding | sculpture | stainless steel | stainless steel polishing | wire Hello everyone, this is something ive been working on since last summer. I made it by mig welding 2 - 4mm stainless steel bars together, to create a see through structure that has the look of feathers. I just got it back from electropolishing, and it gleams beautifully, inside and out. The eyes are stainless spheres which i chopped up and mounted. |
