The ArtMetal community is invited to participate in an art show located in Toledo, OH. We will submit our individual work, yet display as a group. The display will be shown under the name of ArtMetalists. This name was derived by the ArtMetal forum.

Ok so I don't know how often or if its even safe to post new ideas, before they're made.. I guess it depends on what it is, but here's my latest projects. And I think I'll post the ideas that they came from with them here. Feel free to add your own.


Hey Guys and Gals

Check out my metal art. I use only recycleable materials, mostly car fenders, heating duct, fencing in my art work. I love Dragons and mythical creatures as well as, gothic and medieval art. I like to put everything into 3-D and realistic as possible.

This is Copper Plated Iron, I wanted to see, the look, and design first in iron. It looks nice, I want to design some other pcs in the same style, then I will convert them in Coppr.

1/2" Square steel twisted rod on a 3/16 base. Black Base, the upper is ground and clearcoated.

Some of My work

I will try to upload a picture of my concrete & copper bird, bird bath. It is rather larger, but I use a sand bag to
pound the copper sheet into the forms I want. I was inspired by a paper orgami flower for the shape of this one.

This is the first ime I ever worked with aluminum ans an art metal. I used an angle grinded to groove the piece (the first and only time, I have since switched to a pencil grinder - if you don't have one get one).

Possible Art show in the works

I am trying to decide if there is enough interest in a metal arts show in the central Arkansas area. It would be a juried show and there are numerous locations in the area that could host a small to VERY large event.
