Whitesmithing | Repousse & Chasing | Artmetalists copper | metal | patterns Hi, I make a lot of flowers out of copper and have always created my own patterns through trial and error. I was wondering if anyone knew of a book or something where I could see some patterns of different flowers, objects, shapes ,etc. Is there such a program to where you can take a 3d shape or picture and flatten it out to get a cut pattern? Just wondering if everyone makes their patterns like I do or are you doing something different. Bradford Sculpture

commercial art | Fabricated | metal | metal art | public sculpture | steel sculpture Hello all, My name is David Hebert. I've been doing fabricated metal sculpture for about 7 years now, after previously doing structural aluminum fabrication. I mainly do abstract contemporary wall art in steel, and aluminum as well as ornamental iron. I'm looking forward to learning some of the other techniques others of yall are doing. Also could anyone help me get into doing commercial and public art? I'm not sure how to get started in all that and would love to learn. Experimental Jewellery Short Courses

Sculpture Gallery | metal | mixed media | steel | wood I was fortunate enough this year to be invited to the 15th Annual Sculpture Show at the magnificent home and sculpture garden of Mark and Tinka Jordy. Among the exhibiting artists were Mike Roig, Jim Adams, Carmen Elliott, Jeff Hackney, Tinka Jordy, Sam Spiczka, William Moore and Edwin White. I have never enjoyed more a show, nor to be more endeared by so many wonderful and supportive artists - It was a terrific weekend! » read more | 4 comments Best NY Area Scrap Yards?

Fabrication junk | metal | scrap | scrap metal | scraps | yard Hello sculptors, The only scrap yards I have found in the NY area are either exclusively automotive, or simply do not allow people to enter their yard other than drop offs. I'm looking to find one where people are allowed in to find whatever scrap materials they like. |
