Gentle Willow, wire tree sculpture

20"H x 16"W x 14"D Created using 24 & 26 gauge galvanized steel wire. The tree sits on a mound made of sea sand many assorted pebbles and rocks. The sea sand and pebbles are painted in yellows and greens using India ink, which will not fade and gives the appearance of moss covered earth. The base is 10" round solid glass.

Can you remove galvanizing?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if heating (over a flame) galvanized steel mesh will remove the galvanizing? Will it remove it the first time or will it release the fumes on subsequent re-heating?
