floral | organic | Outdoor | sculpture | stainless steel Here are some pictures of the Ascension sculpture that was just dedicated. Overall size is about 10' in diameter and about 7' tall. The material is 304 Stainless Steel with a ground finish and a vertical grain that was free handed to give it more of a wild organic look. The whole thing was then treated with Citrisurf to passivate the stainless and brighten/polish it up. Anybody who wants to make their stainless steel projects pop should definitely look into Citrisurf. It was easy to use, environmentally safe, economical, and the results were amazing. Ascension 5

blacksmithing | fence | floral | forgework | railings | rose Hi all, Here are a few photos of a sample I just finished for some fencing around the Lincoln City Rose Garden which is getting a giant facelift. The design came from the landscape architect running the project and kind of has an art deco feel to it. The leaves and petals were cut with a plasma cutter and then forged to their final shape. I used the large ladle dish in a green-mengal B swage block to form the rose and I textured the vine by carving lines into an old hammer and using it on 1"x1/2" solid bar stock. I'll post a few picts when I start fabricating the panels. Sample rose 3
