Blacksmithing Furniture Gallery | blacksmithing | fireplace screen This fireplace screen was custom made for a client in New Zeland. I used copper, brass, and hand forged steel to create the natural colors. Patinas were used on the cattails. finishes | fireplace screen Hey All! I was wondering if anyone had any experience with using a finish on a fire screen that is rusty steel that will probably stay hot.. The clients are using it as a screen between their couch and woodburner. I was going to just use beeswax and mineral oil and leave out the lindseed oil, turpentine,and johnson's floor wax because of the smell. Do you think this would work? |
