Without going into too much detail about where I work.... I receive a lot of copywrited material from potential customers of which my company may or may not do business with. I have in the past gone on my own and made prototypes on company time, and sent them to the customers which have gotten us the business. Lately we don't have the resources to take on new business so the art work and such just sets. Would it be ethical to contact these people outside of my job and offer to make them prototypes in my home shop for a profit as a private contractor? I doubt weather it would hurt my company because we have no real competitors.

Ok, I've been meaning to update this project of ours and now that it has begun to get nasty outside it seemed like a good time. I have many pictures to add, so I have created a simple system in which to analyze them to better understand what you are seeing. The system is just two pictures of the billet, and then an alphabetical sequence to follow with descriptions. Hopefully you find it somewhat interesting and enjoyable.
