Pink Copper Flamingo

This was a commissioned project that I did for a client. This was the first bird that I have ever made and I learned a lot of do's and don'ts with this project. The pink color was achieved by using a mixture of different color patinas with dyes and then air brushed on.

Just another bird

I made this bird a few weeks back and finally got a chance to take some pictures. Not the best pictures, but at least I have some of it now. My attempt at a Great Blue Heron.
Made from 32 ounce copper, weighs about 55 pounds, wingspan is 60 inches and 39 inches to the top of the head.

Icosaheron

Icosaheron is basically finished. As the name implies the body of this sculpture is based on an icosahedron, an elliptical icosahedron that has been further mutated into a teardrop.It just seemed to be the correct shape, so I went with it.The media is re-rod.The bird stands 77.7 " tall.I thought that my inner weirdness might have ruined the work, but in retrospect, I'm pleased.

Finished Trickster
