Looking for advice on bending and cutting silicon bronze

| |

Hello
I'm a new member (15 min ago) but have enjoyed reading posts on this site for some time. I am a furniture designer / builder working on a sculptural furniture project using 1/8" silicon bronze sheets (c65500). I have very little experience working with this stuff apart from some small castings for an antique sailboat. I was wondering it is possible to make small cuts (16" max) in the 1/8" sheet with a jigsaw or a low-speed circular saw made for metal with a blade for non-ferrous metals. Would work-hardening be too much of a problem?

"Xanadu"

This art piece I created rcently. While I was working on it the name Xanadu came to mind. I looked the word up and it said - "an idyllic, exotic, or luxurious place". I think the name fits.

I have been reading every post on torches here and spent some time on Google looking for the best way to do this. I am looking for confirmation that I am looking at the right way to go about this.

This is my first anything and its just lots and lots of 1/4" rods bent with the heat from a torch and layed next to eachother and then welded together very simple but very time consuming. Its just one big weld.

Architect wanting to learn as much as possible about bending and forming alluminum sheets for new project

| | |

I am an architect that is working on a project where I would turn a sheet of alluminum into an architectural element. To do this I need to learn how I can fasten them, how I can bend the sheets, and any other application that i could use to form a mobile kiosk out of alluminum sheets.
