Arts and Crafts | blacksmith | blacksmithing | forge | forged steel | hammered metal | heated metal | metal | metal art | steel | welding | wrought iron I'm about to start a project building a propane metal forge. This is the latest in a flurry of activity brought on by tragedy. I recently lost a very good friend at work when he unexpectedly passed away. This left a coveted opening on day shift that I was able to move to. This change in working hours has had an unexpected effect on me after working night shift for 14 years: I have energy again. My wife just thinks I've gone crazy. Maybe it's because I build a spud gun last week, I dunno. What type of copper supplies do I need for my art or craft project?

Arts and Crafts | copper | Copper Foil Copper comes in many forms and thicknesses. Copper sheet is thick, ridged and can be difficult to bend and cut by hand, but it is strong and durable. Copper flashing is flexible and has a soft temper which means it can more easily formed and cut by hand. Altough used primarily in roofing applications, copper flashing has many craft and decorating a uses. Copper foil is the thinest and most flexible copper sheeting available. The flexibility and durability varies with the specific thickness of the foil used. To learn more about cutting and forming copper, please review our article on the characteriestics of Art and Craft Copper Supplies. ART VS CRAFT

architectural ironwork | Arts and Crafts | creativity | glass | jewelry | novelty | originality | perfection Art is creativity-oriented, while Craft concerns constructing things as a prime objective. Craft is also about marketability of those fabricated artifacts while Art is all about Originality. Performing arts are rarely mistaken for crafts and the written arts are seldom referred to as crafts. A crafter is one who makes artifacts for general consumption without necessary regard for creativity. Anger Management
