It was quite a while before anyone realised that Krik was nowhere to be seen. "Where's Krik?" "Have you seen Krik anywhere?" "I bet he's back in the bus stealin' my jelly again" worried Geniede, who suspected it was Krik raiding his special jelly stash, although he couldn't be certain. "Naw, he must be up with the captain, tellin' him how to drive this boat" commented Rikolo, knowing the other's penchant for advancing his own ideas on this or that.

"Man overboard!" hollered Quelleena from the stern of the ship. "Over there everyone. I see someone out there trying to swim toward us. Stop the boat!"

The ferry rumbled to a halt, then reversed itself, much to the displeasure of the captain. "Damn landlubbers," he grumbled, "they's always fallin' off the ship." and he carefully manuvered the vessel into the proximity of the well soaked Krik. A life preserver was tossed over to him and then he was pulled aboard, shivvering and angry. "Danged blaamed fish!" he cursed, though he knew that he was solely responsible for his dilemma.
