As the bus manuevered around the tight curves of the coastal highway, the crashing waves against the rocks of Big Sur created a background symphony for the melodious voice of some unseen person singing wrenchingly sad ballads. Â A melancholy settled over the riders and then Geniedi piped up "Yo, I know that voice, how kin I ever forgit it. Â That's Gionay Bietz. Â Jeez, who woulda thought she'd be out there on the beach. Â C'mon lets park this thing and go down and meet'er." Â "Are you sure?" asked Karolind skeptically, "I thought she was living where all the superstars live." Â "Naw, I know she's livin' somewhere around here. Â Let's go down 'n meet her."
Everyone scrambled down the sandy embankment and stumbled onto the beach. Â They could still hear the miraculous sounding voice, but no singer was to be seen. Â "Over there, look! Â There she is" and everyone quietly walked over to the rock outcropping, to listen.

A beautiful melodic voice

It was a wonderful experience sitting on the beach, listening to the songs until Hornk started humming along, in his off keyed way. Â Gionay abruptly hopped off the rock and disappeard into the mist.
