The Artoprise Chronicles - Chapter 6

Author/illustrator: Chris Ray - adapted from an original manuscript

After hours of endless joy and a bouyant uplifting of the spirit, everyone finally slumped down at the base of the cliff, spent and exhausted.  There was an eerie silence that descended upon them, and only the lapping of the tiny waves at their feet reminded them that they hadn't lost their senses.  Shorrah looked up, then sadly said "Well, they're gone now.  I've been here before, and every time I leave, I never know whether what was experienced was real or not.  I'm sure it is, but it's strange isn't it, that there is now no confirmation of what we have just known."

"Yeah" replied Rikolo, "it's like a vivid dream that stays with you when you wake up.  But it ain't no dream, right?  I mean it all really happened, right?"  "It depends on you, whether it did or not Rikolo, now lets leave, since I think it's the right thing to do now" answered Shorrah.  In a silent procession that was appropriate for the setting, everyone quietly returned to the bus.
