Passing the Park Ranger, she headed directly to the forbidden ruins on the side of the distant mesa. Â She swung the bus into an alcove then turned around to face the melting and exasperated bodies slumped helter skelter along the aisle. Â "Well, we're here" she announced. Â "Let's go, no need to change, we go as we are. Â C'mon and follow me."

In single file obedience, everyone followed, too hot and sweaty to care where they were going. Â They climbed precarious wooden ladders to different levels of adobe buildings which are the ancient ruins of a past civilization. Â They reached the mouth of a cave piercing the face of the crumbling cliff. Â They all nervously entered the dark chamber and waited for Shorrah to tell them what was going to happen next. Â Knowing everyone's concern about violating sacred places, she assurred them that it was perfectly alright to be here. Â Pointing to a large inscribed rock, she translated the hyroglyphics. Â "Here is a place reserved for all, now and forever, to find refuge and joy for both body and spirit. Â This sanctuary is a permanent Public Facility."
