Now we're ready to set up the soldering job and join the pieces. There are a number of variations that boil down to a matter of personal preference. I will present the "typical" way I would do something, then present some alternatives. There are a few basic soldering techniques used by many jewelers. These techniques will cover many of the soldering jobs encountered in most pieces of work.
