Karl uses all the classical blacksmith techniques to create these lovable figures. Their sizes range from 24 to 35 centimeters. The figures are assembled from individual pieces. The titles: "The Dragonkiller," "I'm standing in the rain," "Hans im Glueck (Lucky Hans)," "Care to rest a little?" and "My Courtship." Schwab often builds these little artworks into lattices or room dividers. It is not hard to see that the technical development leading to the production of the figures took some time. He is also beginning to produce his figures in bronze.
