Gate design

Here is a design I'm working on. Light weight tube steel 1" and .75".
The problem is it just does not "feel" right to me. The only request was to incorperate some circles in the center of it.
What do you think?

To make it feel right to me

To make it feel right to me would be to move the smaller circle in the middle up to align it with the larger center circle. The small circle looks like it is falling even though it is in the center of the gate.

gate design

I agree about the movement of the smaller circle.
With the smaller circle being centered in the larger circle,
the gate would seem take on more of an art deco feel. Although I am quite partial to the Art Deco period, the design, as it appears now, seems to have those deco elements...I do like your design.

Or you could move the small

Or you could move the small circle up above the middle line of the big circle so that the central circles had more of a mirrored relationship to the side arcs.  Am I making sense?

I feel that the center

I feel that the center circle should be centered
the the two outer circles should be centered.
This is really an incredible design just needs a little more.

I think that the small

I think that the small circle in the center should be moved up to the center of the larger circle. There I think it would help the eye travel from the lower left of the gate up through the middle and then flow back to the lower right. I like the way the out side (half) circles are lower and not centered. It's a lovely design.

Circle Gate update

Thanks for all the comments. Here are two new versions one I centered the smaller circle in the larger and the second I centered both on the gate. I think I prefer the High Center.

my vote is for...

Hey Gary

I like the higher one too. Looks more balanced with the lower components.

Gary, I like the high

Gary,
I like the high centered one also......but....because the "arches" on either side show an off center inner circle/arch I think the center circle would best compliment the side arches by being "off center" also. AND my preference would be to shift the circle up in the High Centered design. BUT I'd try it both ways, shifted up and down......just my two cents.

Bill, that was my earlier

Bill, that was my earlier comment too, I'd like to see that flared shape in the outside arcs echoed on the centre circles by moving the smaller one up a bit
