Shop Thread

Here is my studio. It is a auto repair shop, (that is now closed) about 1100 square feet under roof. Took the inground car lift (center of photo)and added a 1 inch plate so I have a work table that rises from floor to "just right". I will post the other photo looking in later.

Clean Freak!!!!

Oh yeah, it's always this clean! (snort chuckle sorry just can't hold it in anymore lol)

Spent about 15 min. with a broom and then said the heck with it and got out the leaf blower. (Not joking)

I do like a clean shop, I just can't keep it that way!!

This is a great space!! As evertone else, I love the table. Looks like the (beginnings?) of a very large project on top. Wanna share what's up?

What's that on the table??

The arch on the lift table is for a fountain. You can see more of it here http://kevincaron.com/intheworks.cfm

Seven feet tall, 6 to 12 inchs wide, it has seven 1/4 inch outlets for the water. Down into a basin underground and recycled back up top.

I just finished the nozzles yesterday so the photos are still in camera land. Have to perform the camera worship dance (you know, where you plug it in and get on your knees saying "please be in focus, please be there!")

I will put up a finished photo in a few days (I hope!)

Great looking shop Kevin,

Great looking shop Kevin, there are days where I would literally kill to have a table with an adjustable height. Even better, you can adjust it anytime, even with work on it. One more thing to put on the wish list. :) I like all of the open space around the table as well, gives you a chance to step back and look at your work. My shop is pretty small(picts coming soon) which doesn't allow me to step back very far unless the garage doors are open. In fact, the open space might better be referred to as pathways.

Love the fountain you're working on, keep us updated to it's progress.

Shop space vs. open space

I also had a small space before this one. It was the 8 foot by 12 foot concrete pad along side our garage. While it was alot more convenient than a stand alone building, at least now I have a roof!!

The table is great to use. My wife (Mary) is only 5 foot tall and I am 6 ft plus. We also have a fixed height table for me when we are both working. The only drawback to this table is it is right in a breezeway so sometime the wind can drive me nuts. (Ok more nuts)lol

On the fountain side of things I did start it for the first time today. Will get a photo up soon.

It has been a long day so goodnight ya'all
