Nice big tables are wonderful additions if you've got the space. The fact that it's mobile is even better. I agree with Kevin about a thread on our shops. It would be interesting, and i'm sure educational, to see everyones shops. When I get a chance I'll snap some picts and post them, maybe get it going.

Studio space

mm.. I agree - I'm a little jealous of the table, a lot jealous of the space! Is that a kick bag hanging from the ceiling or a gas bottle mysteriously floating in mid air at the Hogwarts studio?

Panorama of studio

Jake, that's a great idea. We should all take some photos of our spaces, what equipment we have...what we desire...
what's good about it...what's bad. I think everyone will learn from it esp. those just staring. I'll take some pics this weekend.
F.Y.I. , when I'm not banging on some metal , I banging on the heavy bag or sometimes someone elses body. And sometimes it's me on the receiving end. Martial arts keeps me focused. And those dragonflies make damned good weapons.

Nice table!

I just make a stand for gates from two parallel rails, with changeable width. But table seems more suitable. What is worktop steel thickness, minimum for welding?

Janet, Your railing is great

Janet,
Your railing is great as usual. I always like your stuff. It's funny everyone commented on the table. I want a welding table so bad I can't stand it. I had really panned on making one after the festival I did and I made enough money but I had to pay for something else (new vacuum, leaky roof). It always works that way. Now my scrap yard were I could get cheaper steel plate is out of business. Whatever, your railing looks great!!
