QuiQue, Thanks, now I know that my technique is called "buttering." ...and you're right, it is very challenging. I find that I can't force it; I need to be in "the zone," and just let the metal flow. Some times the metal just does what it's going to do, and that's ok, but sometimes as the molten goes to solid, and it appears just as in your's mind's eye, I let out a big "YES!" You're getting a real good
You're getting a real good handle on using the "buttering" welding technique JR! Many people don't know how hard it is to model the steel armature to get the correct buildup of weld metal in the right places. Yours looks very graceful and the weld deposits are done in the just the right places.
I'm so pleased you are doing so well in such a short period of time!
