Sooo Kewl

Hi Bill,
I really, really like this piece. I recently had a guest Martial arts teacher speak to some of our senior citizens(and youth) on self defense using the cane.Ever since,I think of a cane in a whole different way.Besides, if you need a cane, you might as well have one that is classy like the Bison cane you've created. And hey, you don't need a permit to carry one.

Interesting cane

Hi Bill,

are you indeed a martial artist??? as I see you are making weapons....Frank you would be amazed at how deadly a cane can be...and if it has a metal head like this, it means lights out for an unsuspecting assailant....Steelyjan

Thanks Jan I really do dig

Thanks Jan
I really do dig making weapons, and I haven't for a while. After this last batch, I've got a lot of encouragement from friends and family to make more. I'd like them to be more fanciful than utilitarian. But also look like they could be used in combat. I do have combat training in the Marines, but anything I make is purely for fun.

yeah, the bison is my dad's

yeah, the bison is my dad's theme he has them everywhere in his house. And this is his B-Day present from me. Being a cane, I guess I'm telling him he's getting old, but I think he'll like it. I'm really thinking of adding canes to my list of tricks. they may even appear on my ebay store. Not as custom as this, but I'm getting a kick out of using the river driftwood.
