Nice, Warren, I love the contrast of the leaves and trunk. Is it copper? Why call it Bread? Lin

See this is what I mean. You

See this is what I mean. You put an image in a blog but you get the questions asked here.

It is all made from copper. The trunk and branches are sheet copper formed and welded with phos copper rod. The leaves are all cut with a O/A torch from copper sheet one at a time, all free hand.
I used my magic recipe on the leaves to make red and the tree is patina with liver of sulfur. (To find out about the magic recipe please send a check of what you think it is worth to you, I need some money.) (big ass grin)

I agree that this is probably probably causes more than a little confusion. You get two parallel conversations going. It's always bugged me a bit.

Nice tree! Your "...please send a check ..." comment reminded me of something I read a little earlier today: http://blog.amandapalmer.net/post/200582690/why-i-am-not-afraid-to-take-your-money-by-amanda

Maybe I should post that link under QuiQui's "How Artists are Dealing with the Recession" post.

Hey Dick, that was cool read and so damn true.

I have thought about at times at the art fairs to put up a tip bucket. I get so many folks go through the booth and they all oh and ah and give you this honest look and comment about how great the art is. I just want to scream sometimes "WELL GIVE ME A BUCK FOR SEEING IT".
