Oh my gosh - how cool are

Oh my gosh - how cool are those!?? I love the tall ones....the elongated design appeals to me.

oh oh, and the smaller one on the left - is it roller printed or is the design chased into it? I see a diamond pattern I think....

pipe chasing

It was chased on a mandrel similar to the one I made and posted pictures of earlier that I made my chasing tool holder with.  Here's a picture of a another larger mandrel with larger pipe on it for chasing to show you what it looks like while you're doing it.  This pic was taken during the same Tannehill demo by Robert Trout

This the large mandrel (6" i think) that was used for chasing designs on large copper pipe. This is what gave me the idea to make the smaller (2") mandrel for all of the scrap 2" copper pipe I have.large mandrel: This the large mandrel (6" i think) that was used for chasing designs on large copper pipe. Solid mandrel

I have been using solid rod mandrels that I find at the scrap yards. I have them in different diameters. Larger rods can be bent, ground, polished, held in a vise and used as raising stakes.

I also love the tall vases.

I can tell the Roycroft Revival influence.
