Mask, Rusted

Another recent piece, sans backpiece. This is meant to hang on the wall, but I'm still working on the wooden backpiece.
Welded steel mask, about 30" tall. Used muriatic acid technique to rust it.

Love the patina!

Very nice sculptural mask! I really like the use of rust and the textures which go with "old" or aged ironwork which contrast against the "new" contemporary forms on the mask. Very well done.
