Barryville Art Show

Barryville Art Show

Okay, here I am at the show, the weather held up, but the wasn't many people around???? Surprisingly dead for a holiday weekend.... notice it's not wine o'clock yet for SteelyJan.... I did sell one small heart piece, there was a lot of interest in my large scale stainless outdoor piece.. Infinite Possibilities..and I met someone who wants to hook me up with a high end architect in Conn. I told him I wasn't doing ornamental work unless the client was willing to pay for an art piece.... he said this is a high end firm..
we will see... Anyway it was a pleasant day...NEXT.... SteelyJan

It does look more than a little dead. What a disappointment! I keep going back and forth about shows. The exposure is great but out here most buyers are looking for cheap and often production pieces. Lin

Hey, SJ! Sorry things were

Hey, SJ!
Sorry things were slow (too bad for them!!). The ss piece in the picture looks great- no surprise about the interest from the architectural firm. I can't imagine they won't want to follow up.

Expect then unexpected...

Although the show wasn't great, "Infinite Possibilities" ( on my left) was the attraction piece at the show.... Yesterday I got a call from a woman who is helping curating artists for a NYC based internet art representation company...I started with a 3 month free membership, then purchased a year of representation...(not too many sculptors)...
I was contacted previously by this woman who liked my work...they are having a 5yr anniversary show/ party in lower Manhattan for the new space,
I was called, last minute to put "Infinite Possibilities" into this show!!!
I am so happy....not only is this a big RSVP event for the NYC Ballet company but it will be in the space for a month...you never know what's going to happen!!! SteelyJan (keep the flame held high)
