Cool

Janet that came out really cool. Wings are nice use of expanded metal. Now with the claws it looks a little more frightening. You must have a lot of those steel balls laying around. Not too sure about those as part of the base.
No suggestion for the name.

www Metalrecipes -- heat and beat to the desired shape, repeat as necessary.

Hi SteelyJan,
Your finished dragon looks good. Name? How about "Ogard", that's drago backwards.

Janet this really looks

Janet this really looks great! "Draco's Flight," came to my mind...I really like the colors you've got going on. Did you do the same thing to the Dragon as you did to the Heart?

Cheers,

Hi Janet, It turned out very

Hi Janet,
It turned out very nice. If one looks at the chunk of metal cut out between the dragons belly and it`s tail, two shapes appear clearly: there are 6 big indentation into the plate, and the one to the far right looks like the nose of a Frankenstein silhouette, or perhaps belongs to a witch, LOL (no pun intended!) That whole section cut out in the same area may appear as a cloud. Great Jan! The dragon is flying high in the sky, so if it looks so good and flies, what`s the need for wheels, or balls...? Love your piece Jan. Maybe, Janosaurious. Maybe my mind is now on my Dragon looking alligator which although unfinished, I`ve already named it Industrialosaurious. nelson.

Hey,I like the finished

Hey,
I like the finished dragon. I like the patina and I think the base with the balls is good. I really liked the wings the best and I think I liked them without the additions. Maybe it is just a difference between good and evil? Anyway I think he is cool! (I guess it's a he)

Hi Jan, I like the Dragon

Hi Jan,
I like the Dragon also.
I do agree about the Base, where less might be more.
The Base design is great, but the balls are to large for the peice. (MY OPINION)

I have a different take on your Dragon. I think it looks feminine so.... why not a Lady Dragon?
Your into Warrior Women (Kudos!)
So why can't your Dragon have the Name of some bad ass Queen Dragon?
I do love the Red Patina really makes the peice look Rich.

Years ago I read a series By "Anne McCaffrey"
Dragon riders of Pern.....Any way the Queen DragonRider rode a Dragon Named "RAMOTH"
Hey I tried, I even looked it up in the library.
Great Job.

Thanks Chuck!!!

Actually I am a big sci-fi/fantasy reader and of course love Aragon by Christopher Paolini. I have been researching mythical dragons on the internet, found a lot of great names but have to make sure the dragon was red!!!
I'll check out Ramoth, I also thought of making up my own name...Draakonia" not sure yet.
