here's another shot of the coloration...in this photo it looks a little more orangy...but it's red. Gilders Paste is fun to play with over your patinated surfaces. Can be just a highlight or an overall coloration.

Hi Jan: I like this piece of your`s better. It seems you sort of losened up and let the pencil go wherever it may... those petals look very creative, and that reddish orange patina I truly love it! Nelson.

Thanks Nelson

it's not a patina...well there is a bad patina but I highlighted it with Gilders Paste, that's where the red comes from...mixed it with gold and feathered it over the patina

OOOOO... I like it! Other than your railings, this is my favorite so far. What gauge are the petals? It doesn't look like you used plasma to cut the designs, did you?

Hi Janet,
Very Cool Piece!
I like the color you used.
This pic. has a much better representation of it.
All in all it has a nice sense of freedom to it.
I would say it is one my favorites from you!
Very well Done!

Janet-
Wonderful! These colors are great! I really like the design- nice contrast between the finished base and patina and plasma cuts for the surfaces.

Melee....some answers

the metal is thin sheet probably 16 gauge and yes I did plasma cut the flower out flat then bent and shaped it cold because it's so pliable at that thickness...I cut that out years.....ago! Iused to use my plasma cutter a lot back then but I hate the fumes so avoid it now....Thanks Rob the colors really popped on this one! Steelyjan

Hi Janet, I don't know how I missed this one, but I like it a lot. It does seem looser than your other work with great results, especially the petals. I could see this on a monumental scale as well.
