Hi Michael¨: very nice man!

Hi Michael¨: very nice man! I like the technique and the concept. Well, I`m not sure if I see what you see on that piece. Not sure if I have a native mental fixation, but that`s what inspires me, a totem with a native head sort of sculpture. I imagen your piece in a 6 to 10 ft height, and see it would be awesome. Hope someone catches that and asks you to make it huge. Great! Nelson

Hello Nelson,
Thanks for the comments. you have seen something I have not as in size. It was made with 40 X 12 mm flat bar so it is only about 400mm high X 300mm wide and probably about 25 to 30 kgs. Good to hear from you.
Regards Michael.

Hi Jamie,
Thanks for your positive comments and by the way I like the new photo of yourself you posted.
Mild steel is a very versatile material to work with and has so many great features and I enjoy working with it to find new ideas.
Regards Michael.

Thanks Michael, Did it take

Thanks Michael,

Did it take very long to make this piece? It looks really heavy, and as if it took a while to construct. How deep does it go from the front of the face to the back?

Cheers,

Jamie Santellano

Hello to Jaybird,
Yes it has some unusual energy about it, that still gets me going. Can be scary sometimes and I wonder where this face can from because at the time it was made I was in a very dark place personally. Have moved on a lot since them.
Regards Michael.

Michael, I see it as a

Michael, I see it as a native face totem type of sculpture. The tecnique you use is interesting, don`t know if the measurements you give are inches or cms. Anyway, that piece I imagen would look awesome as a 6-10 ft public sculpture. Hope someone might be interested on that sort of proyect. Personally like it a lot. Nelson.
