I realized that in order to put a finished look to Repousse work the backgrounds of images need some type of embossing or hammering, if that's what you would call it. The eagle looks separate from the background now giving it a three-dimensional appearance. Don't know if i need to build a frame though. the beak, claws, and 13 arrows are 23.5 kt. gold leaf. This is Civil war era eagle.
