Bald Eagle

Bald Eagle

I finally finished the bald Eagle, I choose the painted steel effect to achieve the realistic look. I often use a rust patina. I created this piece for myself as a focal point outside my studio/shop. It is a Bald Eagle made of 24ga cr steel, perched on a tree stump made of 7ga steel. the height of the sculpture is 8' tall. I am starting a commission tomarrow of a rearing horse pertruding from a fireplace brick wall. the wall is 12' tall 10' wide. the horse will be made of 24ga steel and have a rusty patina. I will keep you posted as the project moves forward.

Eagle

Hey Randy great job on your eagle. It's amazing how much of a facelift your sculpture gets by painting it!! I'm thinking of doing an eagle also for my next project. It's a toss-up with an eagle, ram, elk, salmon, or wolf. It's a little hard to decide. I'm still finishing up on the dragon-it still needs a paint job also. Well keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing your next commission.
