I just installed 6 sculptures in downtown Wilmington, NC. The image illustrated is a set of Venus Fly Traps. The glass elements were made by Stan Harmon... A talented glass artist in New Bern, NC.

Very nice Paul, they have

Very nice Paul, they have some great lines and I like the way you did the stems. Looks like the bases are plenty heavy.

Fly Traps

Jan - Thanx so much for your compliments! I'm glad you like the glass. I have plans to do more with fused glass - the glass has a magical effect with steel... maybe the fragile qualities of glass against the strength of steel.

I will post more of the display soon. Thank you again.

Venus Fly Traps

Thanx Warren - With the stems being thin and visually delicate, the base gave the sculpture some "grounding"... a feeling that they were attached to the earth.

I appreciate your compliments -

Wonderful pieces, as all yours are! What did you use to set the glass? Lin

Fly Traps

Lin - Thanx for your compliment! I use a marine adhesive called "Boat Lite". It is a very strong adhesive, drys in about 24 hours and is completely waterproof. Works great!

Hi Paul, the sculptures look

Hi Paul, the sculptures look great. I love the flowing lines, the contrasting and vibrant splash of color the glass makes, and the texture in the stems. Is the metal bronze, and are the other sculptures similar these two?

Well Done
